  • 6 tablespoons cold butter (cut into small pieces)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • Combine flour and butter in a bowl.
  • Cut butter into flour until coarse crumbs form.
  • Add milk and stir until just combined.
  • Turn dough onto a floured surface.
  • Pat dough into a 1-inch thick circle.
  • Cut out biscuits.
  • Place biscuits on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use very cold butter and do not overmix the dough.
