This delicious banana nut bread is moist, flavorful, and easy to make, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Bananas

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix mashed bananas with melted butter, then add baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  • Stir in flour until just combined; fold in walnuts if using.
  • Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes.
  • Cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a handful of chocolate chips or dried fruit.
