A classic dessert made easy with Bisquick! These strawberry shortcakes are light, fluffy, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor, topped with creamy Cool Whip.

Ingredients

Shortcake

  • 1 quart strawberries, sliced
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 2.33 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (smaller size container)

Instructions 

  • Preheat Oven to 425.
  • Slice strawberries with ¼ cup sugar and set aside.
  • Stir Bisquick™ mix, milk, 3 tablespoons sugar, and butter until soft dough forms. Don’t overmix.
  • Line a cookie sheet, spray with cooking spray, and drop six evenly-sized pieces of dough.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, paying close attention to the bottoms.
  • Split the warm shortcakes and top with Cool Whip and strawberries.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk.
