A classic dessert made easy with Bisquick! These strawberry shortcakes are light, fluffy, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor, topped with creamy Cool Whip.
Ingredients
Shortcake
1quartstrawberries, sliced
0.25cupsugar
2.33cupsOriginal Bisquick™ mix
0.5cupmilk
3tablespoonssugar
3tablespoonsbutter, melted
8ozCool Whip(smaller size container)
Instructions
Preheat Oven to 425.
Slice strawberries with ¼ cup sugar and set aside.
Stir Bisquick™ mix, milk, 3 tablespoons sugar, and butter until soft dough forms. Don’t overmix.
Line a cookie sheet, spray with cooking spray, and drop six evenly-sized pieces of dough.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, paying close attention to the bottoms.
Split the warm shortcakes and top with Cool Whip and strawberries.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk.
