Instructions
Cook pasta until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain and set aside.
Sauté garlic in olive oil, then add broccoli and salt. Cook until slightly tender.
Melt butter, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk. Cook until thickened.
Stir in mustard powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and cheese until smooth.
Add pasta and broccoli to the cheese sauce. Mix well, adding pasta water if needed.
Serve warm with extra cheese or toppings.
Notes
Add a pinch of nutmeg to the cheese sauce for extra warmth.
