Delight in these rich, chocolatey snowball cookies coated in powdered sugar, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

For coating

  • additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Mix in vanilla.
  • Combine flour, cocoa, salt; gradually add to butter mixture. Fold in nuts.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls, place on baking sheet, bake 12-15 mins.
  • Cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar. Cool completely before serving.

Notes

Ensure not to overbake for soft, snowball texture.
