These easy candied pecans are a sweet and crunchy treat perfect for snacking or as a topping for salads and desserts.

Ingredients

pecan halves

granulated sugar

vanilla extract

Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt over medium heat.
Stir the mixture until the sugar has completely dissolved.
Add the pecan halves to the saucepan, stirring to coat them evenly with the syrup.
Continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and the pecans are well coated.
Remove the saucepan from heat and spread the pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Allow the pecans to cool completely before breaking them apart if they stick together.
Once cooled, store the candied pecans in an airtight container.
