Dough

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (Simple base for the cookies)

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (Adds sweetness)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
  • Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until combined.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop spoonfuls onto baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

Notes

For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
