These homemade dinner rolls are soft, fluffy, and perfect for any meal. They're easy to make and will impress your family and friends!

1/2cupwater(about room temperature warm, see notes)
1cupmilk(whole milk or 2% preferred)
4tablespoonsbutter(melted)
2tablespoonssugar
4cupsall-purpose flour
1/2tablespoonsalt
1egg(for egg wash)
melted butter(to brush on the hot rolls)
Instructions
Activate yeast and combine liquid ingredients: Whisk yeast into warm water, set aside until bubbly. Whisk milk, melted butter, and sugar. Add yeast mixture and whisk.
Make dough: Add flour and salt to mixer bowl. Add milk mixture, then knead on medium-low for 5-6 minutes. Add extra flour if needed.
Rise: Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Punch down, divide into 12 pieces, shape into balls. Place in greased pan. Cover and let rise for 20-30 minutes.
Bake: Heat oven to 375°F. Egg wash the rolls. Bake for 20 minutes or until done. Brush with melted butter. Serve warm.
Notes
For best results, use fresh yeast and good quality flour.
