Indulge in a restaurant-quality steak at home with this easy recipe. Tender steak is topped with a rich and creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for a special occasion or a satisfying weeknight meal.

1 lb steak (ribeye, new york strip, or sirloin)
2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Season steak with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side.
Add 2 tbsp butter and garlic to the skillet during the last minute, spooning over the steak. Remove steak and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
Deglaze the pan with beef broth. Simmer.
Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the remaining 2 tbsp butter into the sauce.
Slice steak and serve with Parmesan cream sauce. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
For a richer sauce, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
