Instructions 

  • Biscuits: Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • Biscuits: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Biscuits: Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Biscuits: Gradually add buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  • Biscuits: Pat dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
  • Biscuits: Cut into biscuits.
  • Biscuits: Place biscuits on a baking sheet.
  • Biscuits: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Gravy: Cook sausage over medium heat until browned.
  • Gravy: Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir to coat.
  • Gravy: Gradually whisk in milk, scraping up browned bits.

Notes
