Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Filling

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crust ingredients and press into a 9x9 inch pan.
  • Bake crust for 15 minutes, then set aside.
  • Whisk together filling ingredients, stir in pecans, and pour over crust.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until set and bubbly. Cool before cutting.

Notes

For extra crunch, toast the pecans before adding.
