Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 6 cups sliced peaches (fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

For the Cobbler Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Mix peaches with sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  • Spread peach mixture into a buttered 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add milk and whisk until smooth, then stir in melted butter.
  • Pour batter evenly over the peaches without stirring.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat.
