These cute polar bear cookies are perfect for winter treats or special occasions, combining buttery cookies with adorable decorations.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Frosting & Decorations

  • 1 cup buttercream frosting (white)
  • chocolate chips chocolate chips (for eyes and nose)
  • mini marshmallows mini marshmallows (for ears)
  • coconut flakes coconut flakes (optional, for decoration)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheet.
  • Mix dry ingredients; cream butter and sugars, then add vanilla and egg.
  • Combine wet and dry, scoop dough onto sheet, bake 10-12 mins.
  • Cool cookies, spread frosting, and decorate with chocolate chips, marshmallows, and coconut flakes.

Notes

Use fresh frosting for best results and ensure cookies are completely cooled before decorating.
