Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Filling

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional) (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch pan.
  • Mix flour, melted butter, and sugar; press into pan to form crust.
  • Whisk pumpkin, sugars, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; fold in pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Pour filling over crust and bake 25-30 minutes until set.
  • Cool before cutting into bars and serving.
