Instructions
Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add egg and mix until combined. Mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix briefly.
Shape dough into 2-ounce balls, roll in remaining sugar, and place on baking sheet. Chill for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Bake cookies for 11-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on wire rack.
