Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Mix in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed. Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks before serving.
Notes
For best chewy texture, do not overbake.
