Instructions 

  • Prepare strawberries: Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Macerate for 30 minutes.
  • Make cream cheese topping: Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Whip cream: Beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture gently.
  • Assemble trifle: Layer pound cake, strawberries, and cream cheese topping.
  • Repeat layers: Add remaining pound cake, strawberries, and juices.
  • Finish with remaining cream cheese topping. Drizzle with strawberry sauce if desired.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
