These delightful cookies combine crunchy hazelnuts with rich chocolate hazelnut spread for a perfect treat.

Ingredients

Nuts and Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • extra chopped hazelnuts for topping chopped hazelnuts

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Mix dry ingredients; cream butter and sugars, then add vanilla and egg yolk.
  • Combine wet and dry, fold in chopped hazelnuts, form dough balls, and place on sheet.
  • Make an indentation, fill with spread, top with chopped hazelnuts, and bake 12-15 mins.
