Garlic Butter Steak with Parmesan Cream Sauce
Indulge in a restaurant-quality steak at home with this easy recipe. Tender steak is topped with a rich and creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for a special occasion or a satisfying weeknight meal.

- 1 lb steak (ribeye, new york strip, or sirloin)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season steak with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Add 2 tbsp butter and garlic to the skillet during the last minute, spooning over the steak. Remove steak and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Deglaze the pan with beef broth. Simmer.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the remaining 2 tbsp butter into the sauce.
- Slice steak and serve with Parmesan cream sauce. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
For a richer sauce, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
